Stop Intense Exercise When Stressed!

Why You Shouldn’t Exercise Intensely When You Are Stressed…

Please stop intense exercise when you are stressed out! I know it's common advise to go out and exercise hard to relieve stress and if you are having a single stressful situation that makes you angry, a short burst of intense exercise might be a good way to process that immediate angry stress and get it out of the body.

But if you are constantly stressed, tight in your body, depressed, perhaps anxious, intense exercise isn't the most resourceful thing you can do. Does this mean you shouldn't move your body? NO!!! Instead, watch this video and follow along!

03:59 I share where you can find the movements that will allow you to relax and feel great

One of my favorite sayings is…movement is delicious medicine that can heal you at every level…mind, body and spirit. But to get the most benefit from it, movement needs to meet you right where you are in terms of your energy level, fitness level AND stress level. When you are already stressed, adding intense exercise can cause more stress and free radical damage.

Instead, give yourself the gift of slow, delicious juicy movement like Gentle Somatic Yoga and watch your whole nervous system calm down as your body relaxes and you enjoy the feeling of movement that heals.

With Ease and JOY!
